Do YOU Know What's Happening in YOUR Community?

Recently there have been several sexual assaults in our area (contact a member of the board for additional details). Please be on alert and take the following precautions:

§

Be aware of your surroundings; always look around and pay attention to those around you

§

Walk with at least one other person

§

Don't allow your children to play in areas where you cannot directly observe them

§

Immediately call the police if you see any suspicious activities

We have reestablish our Neighborhood Watch (NW) program. Being an NW member is not time-consuming, strenuous, or dangerous. It merely means that you put forth a little extra effort to prevent crime.   To be involved, contact Jackie Richards or Linda Valenti.

Don't wait until something happens to you before you decide that something needs to be done - by then, it's too late!

Perhaps you're walking your dog and you see a person who looks like they're up to no good. Just call the police (703.691.2131 for non-emergency, 911 for emergency), tell them what you saw, and let them take care of it. It's that simple.

We need more people who are willing to put in a little extra effort to prevent crime. Don't say to yourself, "Oh, somebody else will do it." You ARE the 'somebody else'.

Be a member of the NW program. After all, it IS your community - help keep it safe!!
